Aurangabad and Ajanta Ellora Caves

The major attraction is  the Ajanta Ellora caves,  the rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments inMaharashtra which are  two importantUNESCO World heritage sites. The caves are carved with beautiful sculptures andbeautiful painting that depicts the Buddhist culture. These hand-made carvingsmade in around 2nd Century BCE to 480 CE is an epitome of perfectancient Indian art.  

Apart from this, Aurangabad isalso home for the renowned Jyotirlinga Grishneshwar temle and Bhadra marutitemple. The elegnant remains of Bibi ka Maqbara, mausoleum of  Rabia-al-Dourani, is also a place ofhistorical importance.
